There are a great number of troops and heroes in the game, and each of them possesses their own unique set of abilities and mode of play. In order for players to emerge triumphant, they must first acquire allies, then build their bases, and finally create cutting-edge technology while piloting either the Xenomorphs or the Zerg. The Zerg are a defensive, slower-moving, economic powerhouse that employs creep to extend over the map, whereas the Xenomorphs are a numerically dominant, fast-moving, and aggressive force. The Zerg are also dominant in terms of their population. If players want to come out on top, they need to keep track of their resources and put together an army that is well-rounded. One can choose from a number of different maps within the game, and each one comes with its own individual set of benefits and drawbacks.
